Non-traditional Owl Baby Tag

This was actually a tag for a baby shower gift!  My husband's cousin, Andrea, is super hip, so I didn't want her gift to be wrapped in the normal pastel baby stuff - it just didn't seem her style.  The wrapping paper was a large red and white damask print, and this card went so well with it.

Baby Steps

I think 2012 is Year of the Baby.  Practically EVERYONE I know is having one this year!  I have been making baby cards galore.  :)  Here is a bright and cheery card for one of my new mama friends.  I love using both blue and pink on baby cards - that way it doesn't matter what gender the baby is.

Ink:  Baja Breeze and Regal Rose (SU)

Birthday Boy Tag

My almost-five-year-old daughter went to a pool party last month for her friend Owen.  She says they are going to get married.  :)

As I usually do for kid gifts, I let her fill out the "To/From" section and then attached it to the gift.  Voila!  All done!

Ink:  Riding Hood Red (Stampin’ Up!); Basic Black (Versafine)

Chevron Birthday

Here is another simple and flat card, good for mailing.  Super trendy due to the chevron background.  Simple/neutral enough to be for a female OR male recipient.  Score!

I am really loving my dark grey Studio G ink.  It is great to use on a card when you feel like black would just be too stark of a contrast.

~Supplies~
Stamps:  Think Big Favorites #12 (Papertrey Ink); Chevron Backgrounds (Lawn Fawn)
Ink:  Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery (Stampin’ Up!); Gray (Studio G)
Paper:  Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery (SU); Stamper’s Select White (PTI)

Bright and Cheery Birthday Card

As promised, here is more of that awesome Echo Park paper with the green/blue/red color scheme.  The paper strips took a little bit of math (and some trimming to perfect it), but otherwise a very simple card!  It is nice and flat for mailing but so bright and cheery!  I love the hexagons - a hot trend right now.

For the sentiment strip, I hand cut the banner edge, and added a few rhinestones on the other side.

~Supplies~
Stamps:  Everyday Button Bits (Papertrey Ink)
Ink:  Gray (Studio G)
Paper:  Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery (Stampin' Up!); Rustic White (PTI); So Happy Together (Echo Park)
Accessories:  Rhinestones
